1. What are these Terms?
These Terms and Conditions apply to all courses, training sessions and other services provided by StormJib Sailing Academy. Please read them before making a booking — they describe how the process works, what you can expect from us and what your rights are. By submitting a booking you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.
2. Who are we?
StormJib Sailing Academy is operated by Milan Ptáčník as a sole trader (OSVČ), Company ID (IČO): 47505508, registered address Sokolovská 142, 250 87 Mochov, Czech Republic. We are not VAT-registered. We offer practical sailing courses, VMP licence preparation and racing instruction on Lake Lipno, the Vltava, the Elbe and at sea.
3. How to book a course
Bookings are made online through our reservation system Reenio at stormjib.reenio.cz or via the contact form at stormjib.cz. A contract between you and us is formed at the moment we confirm your booking by e-mail. We reserve the right to decline a booking — for example if the course is fully booked or if we are unable to provide the service for another serious reason. In such a case we will notify you promptly and refund any amount already paid in full.
4. Course prices
Prices are always shown alongside the specific course on the website or in the booking system. We are not VAT-registered, so the price you see is the final price — no additional charges apply.

5. Payment

6. Cancellation by you (storno)
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel a course, please let us know as soon as possible by e-mail at info@stormjib.cz.

By agreement we are happy to offer a replacement date — even where a cancellation fee would otherwise apply.
7. Captain's decision — safety first
The safety of participants is always our highest priority. The captain (instructor) has the right and duty to decide at any time whether a course will take place, whether it will be interrupted or whether the vessel will return to shore. This decision may be made with regard to current weather or an adverse forecast, the technical condition of the vessel, the health or fitness of the crew, or any other circumstances that jeopardise safety.
The captain's decision is final. In such a case no refund entitlement arises; however, we will always endeavour to offer a replacement date or other alternative.
A course may also be cancelled due to insufficient enrolment. In that case we will refund the full amount paid or offer a replacement date.
8. Your obligations as a participant
- Follow the instructor's directions throughout the session.
- Arrive for the course in a physical condition fit for participation (participation under the influence of alcohol or narcotics is prohibited).
- Notify us in advance of any medical conditions or other circumstances that could affect the course.
- Respect other participants and water-safety rules.
9. Liability
We are liable for damages caused by our demonstrable negligence or breach of statutory obligations. We are not liable for damages arising from adverse weather, force majeure or failure by a participant to follow the instructor's directions. Participation in a course is at your own risk.
10. Alternative dispute resolution
If you are dissatisfied and we are unable to resolve the matter directly, you have the right to contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI), which provides out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes. Further information is available at www.coi.cz.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published at stormjib.cz. Bookings made before any change remain subject to the Terms in force at the time of booking.
