Terms & Conditions

The operator of StormJib Sailing Academy is Milan Ptáčník, a sole trader registered under IČO: 47505508, with registered address at Sokolovská 142, 250 87 Mochov. These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between us and you as a customer when purchasing courses and related services.

You can book a course:

• online via the Reenio booking system at stormjib.reenio.cz,
• by email at [email protected],
• by phone or WhatsApp at +420 602 112 658.

A booking is confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from us (by email or via Reenio).

The course price includes:

• instruction for the agreed duration (typically 3 hours),
• use of the boat and safety equipment,
• instructor supervision throughout the course.

The price does not include travel to the location, accommodation, food and beverages, or personal insurance.

If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. The following cancellation policy applies to courses held in the Czech Republic (Sailing Principles, Safety on the Water, Racing Sailing, VMP S, VMP M):

The cancellation policy for Ocean Passage courses is agreed individually at the time of booking confirmation. As a general guideline:

The safety of participants is always our top priority. The captain (instructor) has the right and duty to decide at any time whether a course will take place, whether it will be interrupted, or whether the boat will return to shore. This decision may be made with regard to current weather or an adverse forecast, the technical condition of the boat, the health or fitness of the crew, or any other circumstances that endanger safety.

The captain's decision is final. In such cases, no refund entitlement arises, but we will always endeavour to offer an alternative date or other alternative arrangement.

A course may also be cancelled due to insufficient enrolment. In that case, you will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative date.

• Follow the instructor's instructions throughout the course.
• Arrive for the course in a physical condition suitable for participation (participation under the influence of alcohol or narcotics is prohibited).
• Notify us in advance of any health limitations or other circumstances that might affect the course.
• Respect other participants and the rules of safety on the water.

We are liable for damages caused by our demonstrable negligence or breach of statutory obligations. We are not liable for damages arising from adverse weather, force majeure, or failure by the participant to follow the instructor's instructions. Participation in the course is at the participant's own risk.

If you are dissatisfied and we are unable to resolve the matter directly, you have the right to contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI), which provides out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes. More information is available at www.coi.cz.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published at www.stormjib.cz. Bookings made before any change are governed by the terms in force at the time of booking.
